The Simpsons in 4D
The Simpsons in 4D was a theatrical and retail experience in Myrtle Beach. Opened in 2018, the attractions invites guests to visit the Aztec Theatre during the Springfield Film Festival! Guests could meet their favourite characters from the show in the queue and lobby areas, have their photo taken with the Simpson family, enjoy two short 4D movies in the theatre, and even purchase a Squishee or Lard Lad donut from the Kwik-E-Mart.
This project was completed over the course of 5 years with myself in the lead designer role. I developed an illustrator brush stroke that allowed me to accurately recreate the characters in custom poses. All graphics were signed off by the creators of the show for meeting their strict standards. It was also my responsibility to come up with vignettes for each group of characters in order to tell a story that guests could enjoy as they made their way through.
